When I read this article chills went down my spine. This poor child did not deserve this brutal beating for touching himself. I hope they put the abusers away for a very long time!!!! I have never corrected my son for touching himself. I only tell him to do it in private. With his autism I have to set boundaries, there is a time and place for everything. I see no problem for a child to explore his or her body. Its natural. NO child should be shamed or beaten for doing so. My heart breaks for this little boy.

I accept this does not apply to all men but it would be nice if some took heed.

Personally, i think that nice underwear is as important as nice outer clothes and whilst I do not always wear matching sets I always choose colours that go well together.  I go for pretty and colourful and it makes me feel good and confident.

I know that the feminist blogs will be all over me for this one but this whole arresting Roman Polanski thing is BS!  Even the victim doesn't want to press charges.  She was thirteen at a Hollywood producers home drinking champage in a hot tub.  He was in a haze - totally out of his mind. 

His pregnant wife was disemboweled by the Manson family in her 8th month.  I mean this was and is the most random, heinous serial/ritualistic killing of all time.  How can anyone know how that affects your rational mind?

The whole reason he took off in the first place was that the judge reneged on a deal he cut with the prosecutor.  He did do 13 months in jail.  Isn't that enough?

I was watching a "romantic" movie. And in the movie the father tells the son to "stop being a pussy". Now to my knowledge of heterosexual men, they love pussy......  so why use it in a derogatory way ???? If pussy is a good thing.... why call a wimpy,wussy, man a pussy????  Robin Williams made a quote in an interview that his favorite word was "pussy", it was warm and welcoming. When I hear someone call a male a pussy..... I tell them to find another word.... pussy is a great thing... we women have it and men want to be in it.  So I think as women we should start to retrain men and women to stop using pussy as a derogatory name agianst another person.

OK, so here's my rant.  A House episode a few months back started like
this.  A middle aged woman opens the door of her home to a younger

I've been having sex for roughly half a year, and I've loved most of it. My loving and wonderful boyfriend has been trying to hard to help me overcome my past experience with rape and torture.

I've been seething all day after reading that NY Times piece on Operation Rescue in Kansas.  I had no idea that they'd moved their corporate headquarters to Kansas to harrass Dr. Tiller specifically. 

In the least, publishing Dr. Tiller's name, home address, and the address of his church on a website is reckless homocide.  They knew full well what would happen.  The legal definition of recklessness is careless to the point of being heedless to the consequences.  Operation Rescue was careless and as a result a living, breathing human being was murdered.  They were conscious of the risk but moved right ahead because murder is there business.

So as a female postgrad physics student i get a little annoyed that you get all sorts of articles such as this http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/education/8085011.stm that act all horrified about the fact that girls are doing better in some academic aspects. Not that i don't think this is a real issue, but its totally blown out of proportion, and there seems to be the attitude that boys have to be at least as good as girls in everything, if not better.

So if boys do better in maths or physics its because they're more logical, but if girls do better in something its because the school system is failing boys.
