I never heard of "slimming" but it seems to be on the rise.  Young girls are soaking tampons in vodka and inserting them to get drunk so their breath doesn't smell like alcohol.

Health authorities are warning young women that slimming can damage vaginal walls and increase the risk of infection. Boys have reportedly also been using tampons anally.

If you have a tween or teen, sit down with them and explain the risks.  I'm not a parent but I'd rather smell alcohol on my child's breath than have them sustain permanent damage to their bodies.
