This is the kind of news that gets my clit rock hard. Elina Berglund, a nuclear physicist, has developed a birth control app that's as effective as the pill. All you have to do is take your temperature under your tongue each morning and enter the info into the app. Then your smart phone lets you know when you're fertile and when you're not. I would just synch it to my calendar.
I was reading a piece on NYMag about the increasing number of young women relying on the pullout method aka the withdrawal method of birth control.
According to the numbers, one third of 15 to 24 year olds are ditching the pill, hate condoms, and simply "pullout" on their fertile days (and there's an app to track your fertility to take out the guess work):
I am 21 and 3 months ago I went off hormonal birth control pills. I don't want my hormones thrown out of whack anymore, and I really like experiencing my period so I'm looking for more natural methods of birth control. The diaphragm seems to be the only non-hormonal option, but I am allergic to spermicide.
