I wonder how many of them made it home.  Marilyn in her own words:

"I couldn’t believe it. There were thousands of them screaming for me. I was scared, but I’d do it again."

I've Never Seen a Picture of Marilyn Nude with a Man

This is a photograph of Marilyn Monroe taken by Andrede Dienes. It's so artistic like their falling.

And I've never seen a picture of her nude with a man.

If she didn't become the sex icon/pin-up of all time (if that wasn't her only role) I wonder what else she could have created.

Marilyn Monroe with Ella Fitzgerald

When you're the sex siren of all time, people never get to know the real you.  Marilyn was more than her perfect face and amazing body.  She had heart:

Ella Fitzgerald wanted to play at Mocambo, a very popular club in the 50’s but they wouldn’t book her because she was black.

Enter Marilyn who personally phoned the night club owner and asked him to book Ella immediately, on the agreement that she would appear at the front table every night Ella sang. She did and the press loved it.

One person really can make a difference if they know their power.  And I love this picture

Gay: What makes you so sad? You’re the saddest girl I ever met.

Marilyn: You’re the first man who’s ever said that. I’m usually told how happy I am.

Gay: That’s because you make a man feel happy.

This candid picture was taken during a photoshoot - a moment when Marilyn wasn't posing.

Sometimes beauty and sensuality mask the sadness that lies beneath.

Marilyn Monroe: We are All Born Sexual Creatures

This is my favorite Marilyn Monroe quote:

"Fame has a special burden, which I might as well state here and now. I don’t mind being burdened with being glamorous and sexual. But what goes with it can be a burden. I feel that beauty and femininity are ageless and can’t be contrived, and glamour, although the manufacturers won’t like this, cannot be manufactured. Not real glamour; it’s based on femininity.

I think that sexuality is only attractive when it’s natural and spontaneous. This where a lot of them miss the boat. And then something I’d just like to spout off on. We are all born sexual creatures, thank God, but it’s a pity so many people despise and crush this natural gift. Art, real art, comes from it, everything."

Marilyn Monroe the 20th Century's Greatest Sex Symbol was Pre-Orgasmic

"You said there was an obstacle in my mind that prevented me from having an orgasm; that it was something that happened early in my life about which I felt so guilty that I did not deserve to have the greatest pleasure there is;...That it was buried in my unconscious. Through analysis we would bring it to my conscious mind where we could get to the guilt and free me to be orgasmic. Well, we sure worked it and got nowhere. I'd go home and cry and vomit from the frustration."
