Need Pussy Grooming Advice
Hello Betty,
Thank you for being you. You have influenced me so much. I want to ask you about genital shaving. I probably have an average amount of hair in the pelvic region. I do have some hair that grows around the outer parts of my lips in between my legs. I enjoy being natural but guys seem to want me to shave. I will trim and take care of any wildness but I hate shaving. I have really sensitive skin. I always get terrible razor burn and uncomfortable itching. Also once I shave I can't shave for like 5 days or my skin bleeds (mostly due to shaving over razor burn). I have tried shaving with shaving cream and special sex shop pussy shaving stuff nothing seems to work. I have also tried after shaving cream. They don't help my razor burn either. I really enjoy receiving oral sex. A few men I have been with have complained about my hair after going down on me. What should I do? I am not with anybody right now but I hopefully will be soon. Do you have any suggestions?
Dear SS.
Ah yes, to shave or not to shave! I agree with all your complaints about shaving pubes. Maybe trying an electric shaver would help. Or getting waxed which leaves little red bumps for days. Razor burn usually happens when we shave too close or repeatedly go over the same place too many times. Against the grain with the grain. All very confusing.
My favorite was simply trimming the pubes with scissors. When I got older my pubic hair got very thin so using electric clippers is easy. Whatever you do, please yourself first. Don't do something that causes you discomfort just to please a guy. The other aspect of all this is that our skin does eventually get more accustomed to shaving over a period of time. Have you checked online for pubic shaving tips? I know Carlin and I fantasize removing our pubic hair with a laser. Let us know if you come up with a fabulous solution. Otherwise keep experimenting until you figure something out.

Shaving
I have been clean shaven for well over 10 years now. I don't do it for anyone else, I do it for me. Personally, I think it is more hygienic and I think it looks prettier.
Like the poster my skin is quite sensitive but I have found using a Phillips Bikini Perfect without the comb works well on a daily basis. I also wet shave once or twice a week using a new disposable razor with hair conditioner and wash the complete area with conditioner afterwards too and no problems! Good luck. x
I say tell your
I say tell your boyfriends/partners to grow up! It seems pretty childish for them to be so persistent about it -- if you find a guy who really wants to go down on you, trust me, he wont give a damn.
I also hated shaving my pubic area and had the same problems. Now I seldom do anything but trim it (except for going to the beach sometimes). When we first started dating, my boyfriend made a fuss about it but he quickly got over it! We're still together and enjoying plenty of oral sex -- again, I think it just comes down to how much he wants to do it and how much he cares about pleasing you. So I agree with Betty -- just do it if it's what YOU really want.
What I use for the beach is store-bought bikini wax. It isnt painful and it kind of "burns" off the pubic hair. Of course, you're only supposed to wax your "pubic area" with that stuff not your actual vulva so I would say it's more for giving a bit of shape to the hair.
Shaving
I started shaving my pubic area just recently (I'm almost 60!) because I think it looks nice and it's sexy. I kept wondering how women who do it reguarly can keep from getting bumps and burns. Well, if you watch women in porn shots closely, you'll see bumps and redness on them, too. From a distance it looks smooth and nice, but up close.... So I guess everyone gets it once in a while.
Shaving (2)
Excuse me coming back a second time on the same thread. The first few shaves may be uncomfortable. After that, I think if you shave on a regular basis, use the hair conditioner as suggested and a new blade each time you will have no itching and no bumps or burns.
And for me, there is just the little case of it increasing sensitivity!
Before I married my wife I
Before I married my wife I was more sexually prolific than I care to admit to now. I've always loved giving oral sex, and while I hate to brag, I've been told more than once I was very good at it. Personally, I've always found a woman's pubic hair to be really sexy, but that seems to be out of vogue now. Look at a picture of a nude, natural woman and see if you're eyes aren't drawn between her legs. It's a really beautiful thing in my opinion, and is part of what makes a woman beautiful. I've gone down on some shaved women, and honestly, the stubble was not something I care to put my face in, it's too scratchy. So I say to you, if you enjoy being natural, go for it, if he doesn't like it, find someone that likes you the way you are!
