I've lost sensation in my clitoris about a month ago. my boyfriend says my clitoris is not there any more like its hidden and when he does oral on me or i masturbate it takes like 10 to 15 minutes not the usual two minutes like before im 29 years old and i am taking birth control kariva for about three months now so i dont know if thats the reason.

Dear B,

You lack sex information and education. You can start by getting my basic book Sex for One. Your sexuality begins with yourself. Your boyfriend should not be in charge of your clitoris. It belongs to you so get out a free standing mirror and a good light and examine your vulva.

Losing sensation in your clitoris means it's time to change how you stimulate it. The idea that a 2 minutes orgasm is desirable is absolutely ridiculous. That would classify a man as ejaculating prematurely or a woman with a minor orgasmic response. In other words, it's over way too fast. Where is the pleasure? It would be like gobbling down a meal instead of savoring it. Two minutes is not adequate time to build up any sexual tension so your orgasm will be extremely mild, not very satisfactory. Why on earth would any one want to get something that feels as good as sex over with that fast??? I suggest you make an effort to spend up to 45 min to an hour making love and coming.

As for your birth control, it has been suggested that they all can and do impact a woman's orgasm negatively. Unfortunately we are so lazy that taking a pill wins out over using a diaphragm that seems to have gone the way of the dinosaurs. The barrier method does not impact our hormones. Take some time (a challenge for a speed freak) and Google Kariva. Big pharma will say it's no big deal but I disagree. Read what individuals report after taking it. Frankly, I wouldn't go near any pill if I could avoid it.

Talk to your doctor. There are pills that don't impact arousal.
