So yeah.... McCain conceded defeat, and now America has its first black president ever. I personally wanted Obama to win, so now I just hope he lives up to all the faith people have put in him. (Or at least does a DECENT job, because god knows that would be a pleasant change from a certain screwup we all love to hate.)

Not only did Obama win, but for me, a New Yorker, I'm psyched that the Dems took the state senate. Now, there's nothing in the way of the passage of the Healthy Teen Act which will mandate sex ed in public schools.
I really believe that New York can be the test case and that sex ed will "trickle down" to the rest of the states. YEAH!
We sure have some pissed-off
We sure have some pissed-off Republicans down here in FL! Just two random comments I over-heard today were "I can't believe they elected that knuckle-dragger" and "Today is the worst day of my life."
When you get your ass handed to you like that, it is hard to really get mad about it, I could see if it was close then passion and emotion can be more acceptable.
With that said FL still banned same-sex marriage, go figure!
