You really don't want to miss this. If it is remotely possible to get yourself to a showing of Bike Smut as it crosses North America, I urge you to make it happen. Minneapolis gets it Saturday 9/22. Milwaukee gets it Thursday 9/27. Then Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, and more. In fact, you might be able to get Bike Smut to come (or cum) to you. Write them at bikesmut@gmail.com. The tour is in process. See bikeporntour for the ever-updated information.

Portland, Seattle, Bend, Salt Lake, Boulder, Denver, Ft. Collins, Bozeman - we've already been gloriously Bike Smutted. And it was good. So very very good.

What is it? you're probably wondering. Because they say is so damn well, I'm taking this right off their tour site:

Quote:
"Bike Smut is . . . a shared experience and only available in theaters.

At first you may not see the connections between sex and cycling. Some are attracted to the sleek designs, some champion the liberation of women, (eg how bikes put pants on women) while others think bikers are hot and want to fuck them.
We can help.
Our program of short, DIY bike pornography is specially designed to provide you the tools to meet, converse and potentially reach orgasm with bikers in your area!

We endorse: joyful exploration, shameless flirtation, and radical honesty.
Movies are a powerful medium, but even more impressive is what creative ideas come from a community gathering to appreciate the cause of better sex and better transportation! Workshops, dance parties, lectures and discussion groups, potlucks, craft nights, naked/underwear bike rides, and more take part in bettering your community by helping to define obscenity for yourself... WATCH PORN!"

When I first saw Bike Smut 6: Turning TriXXX in late June, I swooned. It was my second time watching porn in public, in a theater full of people, and I was thrilled. Titillated. Energized. Inspired. I've already told you about 2012 being the summer I discovered my bikesexuality. Seeing Bike Smut as part of Portland's legendary three-week-long Pedalpaloopza extravaganza was most certainly a catalyzing element in my blossoming bikelove.

In fact, here's a little evidence of my enthusiasm, taken from my no-longer-anonymous twitter account:

Later in the summer, by serendipity I happened to meet the enigmatic Founder of Bike Smut, Reverend Phil Sano, and the articulate Queen of Bike Smut, Poppy Cox. They graciously indulged me in conversations and correspondence as I eagerly learned all I could about this unique batch of ethically-made porn that celebrates and centers around the bicycle.

In fact, I've had so much I've wanted to say about Bike Smut, so much I've wanted to share with you, that I haven't told you a damn thing until now. Folly! I kept putting off writing about it until I had time to do it justice. But I haven't had time, and I still don't.

So I'm dashing this off quickly, in the middle of the night, on my way out of town, because Bike Smut has already crossed the western US and is entering the Midwestern part of its tour, and if I don't tell you now, you'll miss it!

You can't see it online (except for the teaser included above). You can't get it on DVD. Bike Smut is inherently a shared experience, an event, something to do with other people in your community.

So keep your eyes on their tour page, and write to them at bikesmut@gmail.com to inquire about hosting a viewing. Bike Smut 5 toured Europe last year, so this gleeful celebration of bikes and sex and fun is not constrained by borders or geography.

If nothing else, keep your ears open for Bike Smut 7. You haven't heard the last of Bike Smut from me.
