SHE Brings Home the Bacon. HE Fries It Up In a Pan

Today, one in five women earns more than her boyfriend or husband. And 25% of women earn the same amount, which means they could easily overtake them in the future.

It's just like Helen Fisher predicted in THE FIRST SEX: The Natural Talents of Women and How They are Changing the World.  Women are becoming real economic players with a specialized skill set that, thanks to estrogen, puts us at an advantage in the informational age.  When you have your period and your estrogen is up, your ability to think of a concept and find the perfect word for it is the strongest.  And we better understand the nuances of language and emotion (fuck testosterone).

I'm so excited because (as Betty always says) once women have economic freedom they'll demand sexual freedom.  When you're relying on a man to pay the bills, it makes you into a pleaser.  But when you're the breadwinner you feel entitled....entitled to pleasure....entitled to orgasm.  You need that stress release.

I'm wondering whether women will mimic male sexuality and become female chauvinist pigs like Ariel Levy points out frequenting Cake parties and strip clubs.  It would be nice to get a massage with a happy ending.  Having some young stud rub my body and massage my clit with oil as I relax with my eyes closed listening to ambient music - in and out in 30 minutes - would be a dream. 

The Economist magazine predictes that by 2019 2/3s of America's wealthy will be women.  Whenever I use this stat, the typical response is that women will be banking alimony, child support, or family money.  No, they'll be banking their own hard-earned money.  Young women are more likely to graduate college and earn graduate degrees.  It makes perfect sense that more education and an hospitable work environment translate into greater income for women.
