Karl Lagerfeld Says Only 'Fat Mummies' Object to Thin Models

And the award for revealing the true misogynistic nature of the fashion industry in one nasty remark goes to Karl Lagerfeld.  If you don't know who Karl Lagerfeld is he's the "tsar" of the fashion world - the man behind Chanel who makes Rachel Zoe stammer like a school girl.

Some context: last week Brigitte magazine shocked the fashion world by revealing that they'd banned professional models from appearing in their magazine.  From now on, they'd ONLY USE REAL WOMEN.  It was a huge moment for women and, frankly, for the feminist movement.  It tore through the blogosphere and, I will admit, I was waiting to see who was going to come out all ghetto and it's so great that it was a man.

Karl Lagerfeld said the decision by Germany's most popular women's magazine was "absurd" and driven by overweight women who did not like to be reminded of their weight issues.

"These are fat mummies sitting with their bags of crisps in front of the television, saying that thin models are ugly," said Lagerfeld in an interview with the magazine Focus. The designer, who lost a lot of weight himself when he went on a strict low-carbohydrate diet several years ago, added that the world of fashion was all to do "with dreams and illusions, and no one wants to see round women".

Men who like to fuck women like to see round women.  It's the boys that play for the other team - who found themselves sitting in front of the television with a bag of crisps (check out the gut) - who like rail thin because they want the clothes to look better than the woman.  Shall I suggest a boycott of all things Lagerfeld?

Huh, go figure. Some of my favorite bloggers are big into fashion, and I wonder how they would feel about this comment from Lagerfeld. I know everyone is supposed to love him, but personally, I couldn't care less if he finds me fat, ugly, boring or anything else. I work hard to stay fit and healthy, but I'll never look like one of his models. Oh well. Suck it, Karl.

Dreadful!

Lagerfield's comments are awful.  It would also appear that the man does not possess a mirror either.  Or is it different rules for men?
