The Ladies Bridge: Another Piece of Feminist History

By 1944, there were 25,000 women in construction in Britain. While the men were off fighting the Germans, they were home rebuilding the infrastructure.  

Although men were credited with rebuilding the Waterloo bridge, women were actually the ones who did the work.  It's just another piece of feminist history that we almost lost...but didn't:
