Is a Man Who Sweats During Sex a Turn Off?

Dear Dr. Betty,

I have a question about sweating. More precisely a question of whether a man that sweats a lot is a turn off for women. I'm not talking about sweating in activities that you're expected to sweat, like working out or sitting in a sauna or hot tub.

No, I'm talking about sweating more than usual doing everyday moderate activity, like dancing or just sitting in the sun. I ask because I've always been a person that sweats more than most people -- sometimes a lot more. To the point that people have made a comment about it or have been surprised by how much I sweat. As a result it has made me extremely self concious about it and slightly embarrassed. It makes me feel like a bit of a freak.

I also tend to avoid doing things with other people that I know will cause me to sweat a lot, like dancing for example. I've tried taking salsa dance lessons in the past, but stop after a while because it causes me a lot of anxiety knowing that I'm going to be a sweaty mess and probably will end up getting my sweat on my dance partner. So am I making a big deal out of nothing, or does excess sweating repulse women? Thanks in advance.

Dear MGM,

Personally I always enjoyed a sex partner who gets dripping wet during sex. They are usually good breathers and people who are active.

Get over your concern. Just keep a hand towel or neck scarf handy to mop upyour sweaty healthy body.
