Hello Betty,

So I am trying to find out if my hymen is still intact I took some pictures but I am still unsure, as I can't see the opening but I can feel it, I stopped using tampons and have not had sex however when I try to spread the minora labia especially going down to the perineum it feels like am pulling or stretching something and I feel kind of sore after wards even with my legs wide open.Thank you for your time your feedback is well anticipated and appreciated.

P.S Tampons did hurt the first two times and they did hurt a little less every other time especially taking them out could you advise me please.

Dear R,
It is impossible to answer your question as I cannot see the problem. You'll have to be your own doctor if you can't find one where you live. I often turn to Google when I don't know the answer and after checking the info that's available, lo and behold, I find the answer and can understand. Pain is usually an indication of some kind of problem. So you're smart to avoid the activity that caused it.

Any time we penetrate our vaginas whether it be a finger, penis or tampon, the item should be lubricated with saliva or some kind of organic oil. I'm very fond of just plain almond oil. Also in order to rely on our own lubrication, we need to be turned on with some clitoral stimulation first. And relaxed. The removal is tricky. It's best if you are relaxed. But once it's painful, we tense up. So breathe deeply and focus on letting go of the vaginal muscles and see if that doesn't help.

Hi R I think if you have been pushing tampon up your nagina and never felt any resitance then your hymen may have gone years ago.

In women some they just go some are a bit thicker till you get to the ones like a tramperlin and these need a doctors help to get through them.

So I think it would be safe to says yours has gone. OK
