Dear Dr. Betty,

my bf is straight so i always thought but we were talking about our biggest secrets and he said about 20 yrs ago he got drunk and high and had sex with a man. Ar first i was freaked out but i never stopped loving him and always stayed supportative he has brought it up a few times but last night he was telling me in details about him and the other guy and was getting himself aroused.

he made hints about wanting saying i would like to him see a man having sex with him? is that a hint that he wants to have a threesome with him and another man? Is he bi? or just really comfortable with his sexuality? He said hes been having wet dreams. idk what any of this means.

Dear J, Every question you asked me needs to be directed to your BF. He will explain what he means far better than either one of us guessing. I believe most everyone has the potential to enjoy same sex at some point in their sexual development.

Curiosity is to be encouraged not stifled. So chose a time when both of you are relaxed after sharing orgasms and talk about it. My preference has always been toward men who can have an open mind instead of being a fixed butch who hates queers. They are most often boring and limited individuals.

self-love can be seen as homoerotic

Allow me to share what I learned from a good friend as to what is basic understanding about anyone’s sexuality/sexual orientation. At heart, it is a function of who we love as our significant other, lifelong companion, or spouse. Pretty simple. This works for me. I’ve been married thirty-seven years to a woman I want to be with for eternity. I am eternally grateful to the benevolence of the Universe for putting me on this trail to the discovery of Love. I have come to believe that Love is the greatest source of power, goodwill, transcendence, harmony, healing, well-being, empathy, sexuality…

Self-love is fundamental for the other forms of love we nurture- for our significant other, friends, our children, life, work, pets, etc. One way of 'physicalizing' our self-love is through masturbating, which honestly can be looked at to some degree as a homosexual or homoerotic act. I make love to myself, by adoring and stimulating my genitalia and entire body. Ergo, I adore genitalia regardless of gender especially given how they can generate some of the most pleasurable and healthy sensations privy to mind, body, and spirit.

Sounds like the man you love has an open mind. Things are beautiful when you love them- love the cock, love the vulva!
