I Noticed a Dark Liquid When I Performed Cunnilingus

Hello Dr Betty

I want to ask a question as the very thought of what happened frightens me. 2 days ago I met up with a woman who is 34yrs old and 12 years my senior (I was her first non Indian sex partner) and she said she liked me, she has not had much of a sex life, I haven't had sex in a while too so her advances where quite welcome.

During foreplay I performed cunnilingus on her and after starting with the fingers I began to lick her out I then immediately noticed that my saliva contained some sort of dark liquid (the room was quite dark so I can't say the exact colour but it was brownish, I found a stain on my sheet and I can send a photo) during the rest of me eating her out I kept on checking my saliva but that was the only time at the beginning, now after that I decided not to say anything and we enjoyed each others bodies and company for about 4 hours, after which she had to go to work and I had to clean up before parents got home.

Dear M,

My first thought was that I doubt it's serious BUT your fear of catching something can make you sick. STOP! Take some deep breathes and go about your life and let go of your FEAR. I suspect feeling guilty about having sex is feeding into this so it's up to you to get a grip.

It could be that she was at the end of her period which can show up as a brownish color: just a bit of menstrual blood mixed with her natural lubrication. People have been so traumatized with warnings about catching something AWFUL when we enjoy sex that it's a wonder anyone gets laid these days.
