misleading video

The theme of the video is increasing competition between insurance companies lowers prices, which is correct. However, the reason they don't compete today is because of federal government regulations keeping them within their own state and limiting customer choice. The true goal of a public option is to actually eliminate all competition because there is no way any US business can compete with the fed. Call your congressperson and tell them to STOP SPENDING AND PRINTING MONEY. Google "Japan Debt" to see where the US is going to be in the near future if this keeps up. PS the japanese have universal health care and nobodys talks about it because it is driving their country into default. Also, Heather Graham is a hollywood nitwit who should stick to making movies. Betty and Carlin, I love your site and I've learned a lot. Thank you.

Disappointment

Interesting points attempted to be made by commercial but highly unfortunate it was done at the expense of prolonging America's discrimination towards fat people and continuing the stereotype of fat, lazy, athletically-challenged slobs. The argument of fair access to health insurance is extremely important to me, as a fat woman who is incessantly refused coverage, and this commercial made me more frustrated than hopeful. Love your site Betty and Carlin!
