Sex During Your Period

Yes, you can and should have sex during your period. More importantly, we need to celebrate menstruation.

Did I Orgasm?

Yes, women ask this question on the site and in Betty's private practice. All orgasms are different. Learn how to know if you had one.

I Broke My Clit

We get this question several times a week. No, you can't break your clitoris but there are several things you should know.  And if you need more pointers watch our video series on how to touch your vulva - Manual Skills I and Manual Skills II

How to Orgasm

We're shooting our manual series today...how to play with your vulva and give yourself an orgasm. Here's the PG version:

The Smell of Sex

To quote a friend, sex is "physical, psychological, emotional, aural and olfactoral". This episode is dedicated to sex smells.

How Can I Learn to Deep Throat?

Betty answered this question, I posted it, and 1,000 of you read it within a few hours. It was a natural topic for our Friday podcast.

Our Tantra Weekend

Betty and I spent the weekend in the Catskills at the Daka/Dakini Fall Conference. For those of you who don't know what tantra is it's basically eastern principles of sexuality. We were their keynote speakers.

Driving up to the Shandelee Lake Inn was no easy task. My gps was fucked, my mapquest directions were shit, and we drove in circles for 30 minutes. Then I decided to just relax. I knew I had to head north and west so I would just follow the signs. We arrived by osmosis.

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed the conference. The inn was an old bed and breakfast that you can rent out for private events so we were their only guests.

Why We Took Down Our Genital Art Gallery

After ten years of publishing my research project on healing genital shame, it is with a heavy heart that I inform you I must take down my Genital Art Gallery.

The new 2257 regulations stipulate that all genital imagery be subject to the same rules as the adult entertainment industry. Therefore I cannot publish submissions without a signed release and a copy of each person's driver's license. This demand ends the essential aspect of the gallery based upon anonymity which, in turn, has ended my research project. I have always wanted to challenge this ridiculous law especially as it pertains to sex education materials.

How Can I Have Better Orgasms?

Last week's video got a ton of comments - yes, we know that you can orgasm in 2-5 minutes BUT it's about riding the wave of pleasure. Fast orgasms are like fast food. There's not much nourishment.

How Can I Orgasm Faster?

A woman's sexual rhythm is much different than a man's sexual rhythm. We take longer. View penetration sex as the warm up to your orgasm.

My Clit is Too Big

Betty answered the question, I posted it, and it got over 2,000 reads in a matter of hours. We had to put it to bed once and for all.

Phineas

I know we said we weren't doing a video today but we thought we'd introduce our new Dodson & Ross mascot: Phineas

Men, Underwear, and the Recession

It seems that there is a direct correlation between men's underwear and recessions.  I wonder whether women will start going pantiless?

Here's the theory, briefly: Sales of men's underwear typically are stable because they rank as a necessity. But during times of severe financial strain, men will try to stretch the time between buying new pairs, causing underwear sales to dip.

"It's a prolonged purchase," said Marshal Cohen, senior analyst with the consumer research firm NPD Group. "It's like trying to drive your car an extra 10,000 miles."

The growth in sales of men's underwear began to slow last year as the recession took hold, according to Mintel, another research firm. This year, Mintel expects sales to fall 2.3 percent, the first drop since the company started collecting data in 2003.
